Every resident of the Parish of Castlethorpe aged 18 or over can apply to become a Member of Castlethorpe Community Space and in return you'll get a Member's discount off your food and drink at The Pavilion Cafe and Bar.
Membership is free but you must have your Member's card with you to claim the discount and the card is not transferable for anyone else to use. 
So what are you waiting for? Just fill in the application form below -- a separate form is required for each eligible member of your household. You will need to show verification of your address (such as a driving licence, passport or utility bill) when your card is delivered to you.
Please remember that you must show the card every time to claim the Members' discount - no card, no discount!

Castlethorpe Community Space CIC will only contact you on matters concerning the Company, such as Annual General Meetings and Membership renewals. If you would like to receive information from The Pavilion Café and Bar about forthcoming events and special offers please choose Yes in the box below. If so your name and email address will be given to the operator of The Pavilion, who will contact you directly. You can opt out of this at any time. If you don't want this please choose No.

Terms and Conditions

  • You are applying for Membership of Castlethorpe Community Space CIC, a Community Interest Company Limited by Guarantee subject to the Companies Act 2006. It is a not-for-profit company and any surplus or assets are to be used principally for the benefit of the community. The Company’s Articles of Association are available by clicking here.
  • The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to provide benefit to the residents of Castlethorpe Village, specifically through the management of the Sports Pavilion and social area located on the Sports Ground.
  • Membership is open to all residents of the civil parish of Castlethorpe aged 18 or over and also to non-residents with a close connection to the village, whose membership will be determined by the Directors. The Members own the company and will appoint the Directors, who are responsible for the management of the Company’s business, at a General Meeting.
  • The personal information of Members will be used only for permitted purposes under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018 as outlined in the Company's Data Protection Policy.
  • The financial liability of each Member is limited to £1, being the amount that each Member undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Company in the unlikely event of its being wound up while he or she is a Member or within one year after he or she ceases to be a member, for payment of the Company’s debts and liabilities contracted before he or she ceases to be a member; payment of the costs, charges and expenses of winding up; and adjustment of the rights of the contributories among themselves.
  • Membership is not transferable to anyone else. Membership is terminated if:
  • The Member dies or ceases to exist;
  • The Member ceases to be resident in the Civil Parish of Castlethorpe and is not admitted as a non-resident Member;
  • A non-resident Member ceases to have a long-term relationship with the village in the opinion of at least three Directors
  • A single Director may suspend the membership of a Member with immediate effect should the Director believe the Member’s conduct is deleterious to the environment at the company’s facilities. The suspension will remain in effect until such time as a meeting of the Directors can be held to determine whether membership should be terminated.
